About Us
We are proud to be the first company to produce industrial temperature sensors in Turkey.
Meter Elektronik San. Tic. A.Ş. was established in 1972 as a result of the discomfort felt due to the dependence of the Turkish industry, which was in an endeavor to be established and to develop in the 1960s and 1970s, and Turkish industrialists on import products in terms of temperature measurement. Having started in a modest workshop in 1972, our journey still continues in our factory building with an indoor area of 3,000 m2 that was constructed in 1995. We carry out the commercial activities of equipment used in pressure, flow rate, analytic measurements, etc., as well as our production items of temperature sensors, temperature control devices, and level sensors.
Since its establishment in 1972, it has always kept its quality at the highest level and adopted growth as its fundamental principle.
It carries out production activities with its cutting-edge technology infrastructure in its factory with an indoor area of 3,000 m2 that is located in Istanbul.
Thanks to our experience of many years, we always stand by our customers. And this makes us become a reliable company for our customers.
Founder
Our founder Mehmet Durmuş was born as a post-war child in Bafra province (which was a township then) of Samsun in 1943. His internships in Karabük Iron-Steel Factory in his university years following his study in vocational high school caused him to concentrate on the importance of control in production.
The requirements observed by him in the cable factory where he worked after moving to Istanbul and in other sectors where he provided consultancy led Mehmet Durmuş to become the first manufacturer in Turkey for thermoelement cables, temperature sensors, and then measurement and control devices.
Having passed away in 1997, Mehmet Durmuş was a father of three children. His son Murat Durmuş and his daughter Emine (Durmuş) Ünal continue walking on the road opened by Mehmet Durmuş.
